It is widely known that bringing Chinese characters onto everyone's electronic screens has been a challenge. The complexity of input and processing, the additional storage space required by Unicode encoding, the structural intricacies of machine segmentation and semantic analysis, as well as the existence of rare and obscure characters—all of these issues bear testimony to the struggles Chinese characters faced in integrating into the modern digital environment. Today, it is truly fortunate that my culture's written characters can continue to thrive on smartphones and computers.
However, in the realm of typography and design, the impact of modernization has made all written scripts look strikingly similar, much like the text I am typing now. Even some classical calligraphy-style fonts carry a strong sense of being outdated. The standardized uniformity, much like other "Chinese-style" products, has been erasing artistry and self-expression. Therefore, I have been seeking modern, non-digitized, forgotten scripts. Bring those to nowadays and create small works with them, hoping to rediscover a balance between standardization and individuality.
人们都知道中国汉字出现在每个人的电子屏幕上是一个艰辛且困难的事。输入和处理的复杂性，Unicode编码的额外存储空间，机器分词、语义分析的结构复杂性，生僻罕见字的存在等难题，无一例外是汉字融入现当代数字化环境的磨难的佐证。如今我的文化的书写文字得以在手机电脑之中延续是一幸运的事情。但是，在文字设计方面，现代化的冲击让所有书写文字看起来都极其相似，比如我现在写的文字。哪怕有些古体书法字体，也是及其有年代感。标准化的统一正如其他”中国式“产物一般磨灭着艺术性与自我表达。因此我去寻找那些近代的，没有被数字化的，被遗忘的文字。将其带到现代，随性做点小作品，也盼望着可以重新找到标准化与个性化的平衡
